Strategies for internalizing the virtue of patience in children using the grounded theory method were examined. The research population was sampled through a combination of convenience and purposive sampling. The data collection tool consisted of in-depth semi-structured interviews, conducted with 11 mothers who, based on a pilot screening, prioritized and valued moral parenting. The interviews continued until theoretical saturation was reached. Data analysis yielded three theoretical codes: (a) mental models as the foundational factor in facilitating the internalization of patience in children; (b) Nurturing parenting style as the second enabling factor in this process; and (c) Purposeful cultivation as a core strategy for internalizing patience in children. Based on the lived experiences of participating mothers, this study provides parents and educators with deeper insights into the process of internalizing patience in children. The findings contribute to the existing literature on child development and the internalization of moral virtues and patience in particular.
