The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Snyder’s Hope Therapy on spiritual well-being and patience among mothers of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The study employed an experimental randomized pretest–posttest design with a control group. The statistical population consisted of all mothers of children with ASD who attended an autism educational and rehabilitation center in Qom, Iran. Twelve participants were randomly assigned to each group, and the intervention was conducted in eight weekly 90-minute sessions. The dependent variables were measured before and after the intervention using the Patience Scale and the Spiritual Well-Being Scale. Multivariate and univariate analyses of covariance were used to examine the effects of the intervention and compare the groups. The findings indicated significant differences between the experimental and control groups in spiritual well-being. Regarding patience, a significant difference was found only in the subscale of patience in life hardships, whereas no significant differences were observed in patience with daily hassles or interpersonal patience. These findings suggest that the proposed intervention protocol may be useful in psychological interventions for mothers of children with ASD.
