This study aimed to extract, explain, and formulate a psychological growth model based on gratitude in Islamic verses and narrations. Using the "qualitative content analysis of religious texts" method—an interdisciplinary approach where psychological concepts and mechanisms in religious texts are extracted and interpreted qualitatively—the research process unfolded in four stages: terminological research, religious conceptual research, definition extraction, and conceptual analysis. This culminated in a conceptual model of psychological growth rooted in gratitude.
Findings indicate that gratitude in Islamic teachings is not merely a reaction to receiving blessings but an internal, multidimensional, and transformative structure. The proposed model's "structure" component consists of three core elements: "beneficent monotheistic cognition," "perception of divine grace," and "attention and appreciation of blessings." According to this model, engaging with these elements prompts individuals toward active, expansive, and protective actions. The outcome of this perceptual-actional process is an emotional and passionate experience that leads to psychological growth.
Validated by criteria of "credibility," "transferability," "dependability," and "confirmability," the results demonstrate strong potential for application in psychological, positive, spiritual, and interdisciplinary Islamic studies. This model can serve as a valid and indigenous framework for further research and practice.
