Abstract

Contemporary researchers don’t consider cognitive intelligence to be sufficient to solve today's complex problems. Strengthening wisdom is essential for the development of adolescents. This study aimed to investigate the role of spiritual health, spiritual intelligence, and self-control in predicting adolescent wisdom. This study was a descriptive correlational study. The statistical population included adolescents aged 11-22 living in Iran in 2025 who had access to cyberspace. The instruments included wisdom, spiritual health, spiritual intelligence, and self-control questionnaires. Convenient sampling was used and 157 adolescents aged 11-22 were recruited as a sample. The data analysis method was regression analysis using simultaneous entry and stepwise method using SPSS26 software. The linear combination of the predictor variables with wisdom is significant, and about 45% of the variance of wisdom is explained by them. In stepwise regression analysis, spiritual intelligence and spiritual health had a significant role in predicting wisdom, but the contribution of self-control in this prediction was not significant. The results can be considered in educational interventions and planning. However, there is a need for further studies and the use of more accurate tools regarding self-control.
