Comparison of the relationship between purposefulness based on Islamic sources and personality characteristics with life satisfaction in two groups of seminary and university students

Abstract

Purposefulness is one of the variables affecting life satisfaction. Personality traits are another variable that affects many aspects of human life such as satisfaction and purposefulness. The aim of this study was to compare purposefulness based on Islamic sources and personality traits with life satisfaction in two groups of students. The research method is descriptive and correlational and 254 students were selected by available sampling from a community of 2520 people and completed targeted questionnaires based on Islamic sources, short form of neo test and life satisfaction of Diner. . The findings of this study showed that the purposeful relationship based on Islamic sources and personality traits with life satisfaction is similar between the two groups of students. Also, purposefulness based on Islamic sources with life satisfaction - personality traits with life satisfaction - and purposefulness based on Islamic sources and personality traits are similar in the two groups of students. In other words, the direction and intensity of correlation in the two groups are not significantly different.
