This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of Islamic teachings training on marital conflicts of couples referred to the Resolution Councils between the years 2016 and 2017. The sample consisted of 16 couples who were selected using a convenient sampling method and they were divided randomly into experimental and control groups. The instrument used in this research was Marital Conflicts Questionnaire. The design of this study was quasi-experimental, with pre-test, post-test, and follows up. All subjects filled out the Marital Conflicts Questionnaire. Then, the experimental group received intervention for 8 sessions of 90 minutes, 1 time per week. After this stage, two groups filled out the scale again and then a month after conducting the post-test, follow-up test was conducted for both groups. For data analysis, in addition to descriptive statistics, MANCOVA was used. Data analysis, in the post-test and follow-up stages, showed that Islamic teachings reduced marital conflicts of experimental group in comparison to control group.
